Tabea Hoffstaetter

Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
Ithaca, New York

Tabea Hoffstaetter is an MS4 at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York applying into Integrated Vascular Surgery Residencies this cycle. She first developed an interest in Vascular pathologies and their treatment as a premed while working as a medical assistant at the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center. A Vascular Surgery selective in her third year of medical school cemented her decision to pursue her passion for the field. Tabea has dedicated the past year to research under the guidance of her amazing mentor Dr. Yana Etkin, MD. She is honored by the opportunity to present 'Gender Disparities in Arteriovenous Fistula Maturation Outcomes' at the Vascular Annual Meeting poster competition. In her free time Tabea loves dancing, painting, and going on adventures with her five siblings.
