I was a medical student at the Medical University of Warsaw. I graduated in 1990. I obtained a first-degree specialization in general surgery in 1994. I obtained a second-degree specialization in general surgery in 1998 and a vascular surgery specialization in 2005 both at the same university hospital. I did my PhD in 1994 at the Medical University of Warsaw. The thesis was entitled “The usefulness of methods of ultrasound and angiography in the diagnosis of internal carotid artery”. I became Ass. Prof. in 2004 at the same University of Warsaw. The topic of the thesis - “Research on the influence of the external carotid artery angioplasty on the blood supply to the brain and volleyball”.
Since 2007 I am the Vice Chairman of the Clinic of General and Vascular Surgery, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Warsaw.
I am a founding member of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery, President of the Polish Chapter of the Society for Vascular Surgery and a member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists and European Society for Vascular Surgery.
I am the author or co-author of over 70 publications and over 80 presentations at national and international conferences.
