Michelle Buckley, DNP, ANP-BC, Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner, Limb Preservation-PAD Program Coordinator, works for Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She has over 20 years of experience in nursing and over a decade as a practicing nurse practitioner in the specialties of trauma and stroke care. Michelle first became an adult nurse practitioner in Chicago, IL where she is from, and joined the neurology/neurosurgery team where they developed the third Comprehensive Stoke Center in the nation. She is a veteran of the United States Navy and earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Northern Illinois University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Florida. She is an active member in the Society of Vascular Nursing, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Heart Association, where she remains an active reviewer for the annual International Stroke Conference. Michelle joined the specialty of vascular surgery in 2018 where she excelled in her new role as the coordinator for the Limb Preservation-PAD Program with the Vascular Surgery team at Tampa General Hospital. She fell in love with Florida as a child and fulfilled her dream to spend all her spare time living by the ocean with her family.
