Leigh Ann O’Banion, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery, at the University of California San Francisco Fresno, UCSF Fresno Center for Medical Education and Research.
She received medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed her general surgery residency at UCSF Fresno and subsequently, her vascular fellowship at UCSF. Dr. O’Banion is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Vascular Surgery. She currently serves on the Vascular Surgery Interest Group (VSIG) committee of the WVS, the SVS Foundation Volunteers in Service to All (VISTA) committee, the VESS Vascular Research Consortium Committee, as well as the executive board of the SVS Young Surgeons Section, and is committed to the education and promotion of vascular surgery. Her clinical research focuses on advanced venous disease, vascular trauma, and outcomes based research on vascular amputees.
