Research Scholar
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
I am a research fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre in the Division of Vascular Surgery. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I received my medical training from the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, graduating in early 2021. At present, my projects are related to venous topics such as pulmonary embolisms and DVTs and arterial issues such as endovascular aortic repair and limb salvage. My work is focused on exploring clinical outcomes across the various vascular operations, requiring an understanding of data analytics. For me, vascular surgery provides a unique, challenging atmosphere with much room for innovation and advances in research. Having previously been actively involved in teaching for several years, in the future I would like to train/work in an academic program to carry that forward during surgical training. Beyond medicine, I enjoy reading, playing squash, training for marathons, and photography.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
