Christopher J. Smolock, MD, FSVS, FACS, is a staff vascular surgeon in the Department of Vascular Surgery in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. He is the departmental Quality Improvement Officer. He is board-certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. Dr. Smolock earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA. He completed a surgical residency at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center in Houston, TX. He was appointed to the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2012. His clinical and research interests include aortic dissections, aneurysms, aortoiliac occlusive disease, and carotid disease.
